REVERIE (EP) - DANIELLE

Chester based soul-pop artist Danielle has put some of the dreamiest songs you’ll ever hear in a box and tied it with a bow on ‘‘reverie‘‘.

The five-track-strong EP contains lead single ‘‘Take My Breath Away‘‘ alongside four other dreamy tracks, three of which needed to be released from the cobwebs of her guitar as they were written by Danielle 10 years prior to now.

My personal favourite track on the EP is “Perfect”, a catchy banger about wanting something to be over, which is something I don’t want from the EP at all!

Danielle isn’t a conventional popstar by any means…

"As a small town girl from a working class family, I felt the world was too big. I felt in order to survive I had to stick with what was considered realistic and climb some kind of corporate ladder. Nothing stuck and nothing progressed, even in the simple conformity of the "real world". I explored different careers but came home to my guitar every night, creating without purpose". Fast forward, we hit 30 and the existential dread ensues. "It was a light bulb moment, with age came self assurance and life experiences to explore musically. Sure my idea of success has changed and I don't expect to have my Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso moment anymore but also...why not. This dreamer is starting now and in 10 years I hope my future self reached her destination.’’

…but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t try, right?
